Insecurities are chronic; they don't just vanish into thin air when you think you've found the right doctor. Sure, the doctor can make you realize how useless those insecurities are, but you're the only master of that insecurity. You can make them go away; you can let them grow thicker.
Some guys take pride in having good self-control--little did they know what damage that moment of resistance had done to the other party. Yeah, the other party most probably know the perfectly logical rationale behind that impeccable self-control too. Yeah, the other party can't disagree with that rationale either. But that moment is also a jeering reminder of how the other party is so....resistible.
