To keep a poker face

Today, in my Negotiation class, Prof taught us about the importance of keeping a straight face during negotiation. When someone offers you something that's insanely beyond what you expect, don't let them know that--just pretend to look unimpressed.

Hey, I thought, I was pretty good at that. But instead of getting an offer that's insanely beyond what I expect, I often get one that's insanely below. My poker face was not perfect, but I managed to save myself some dignity.

Next week's production, I'm supposed to dig out that 'long-lost' pain. It wasn't something I easily shed off, just so you know. So now I have to do the reverse of what I've been doing during those cloudy days.

We'll see. I might easily, unintentionally slip into the right mood for the dance.
