West Side Story is SO good. It's inspired by Romeo and Juliet, but with really beautiful songs and dances. Officially one of my fave oldies now.
Again, kudos for Marni Nixon. She's the 'ghost' voice behind great musical female characters, such as Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady" and Natalie Wood in "West Side Story". Awesome voice she's got!
Maria:
Maria!
Say it loud, and there's music behind it.
Say it soft, and it's almost like praying.
Somewhere:
There's a place for us, a time and place for us.
Hold my hand and we're half way there.
Hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow, someday, somewhere!
